This is why we host “Shop the Street” in Downtown Brockville: to showcase and celebrate everything that makes our downtown so unique. Every summer, we bring together residents, visitors, and business owners for a series of exciting events designed to promote local shops, foster community spirit, and highlight the incredible variety of products and services available right here in our own backyard.

Ahoy, mateys! The first Shop the Street of the year is here, and we’re kicking it off with a swashbuckling pirate-themed adventure! King Street (from Perth St. to Bethune St.) will be closed to traffic, transforming Downtown Brockville into A Pirate’s Paradise for a day of shopping, entertainment, and family fun! As we gear up for the Tall Ships Festival, this is your chance to shop, play, and explore like a true buccaneer! 
What’s Happening?
Street-Front Shopping – Our amazing local businesses will be set up outside with exclusive sales and promotions you won’t want to miss!
Vendor Village – Explore a special Vendor Village featuring local artisans, makers, and specialty vendors offering unique treasures.
Live Music & Entertainment – Enjoy pirate-themed performances, games, activities, and workshops for the whole family.
Best Dressed Pirate Competition – Show off your finest pirate garb! Swing by the BIA booth for a photo, the public will vote on Facebook, and the winner gets a $25 Downtown Brockville Gift Card!
Window Decorating Contest – Local businesses are decking out their windows all month long! Scan the QR code on in-store flyers to cast your vote.
Free Swag Bags & Eye Patches – Arrive early and head to the BIA booth to grab a free swag bag (while supplies last) and claim your pirate eye patch to look the part!
Farmers’ Market Fun – Visit the Farmers’ Market on Market St. W from 8am – 1pm for fresh finds before the main event!
District Banner Reveal – Join us for a special banner unveiling celebrating our Arts, Market, Garden, and River districts.

King Street (from Perth St. to Bethune St.) will be closed to traffic, creating the ultimate retro-inspired shopping and entertainment experience. Shop, dance, and spread the love at this far-out event celebrating peace, music, and all things vintage!

Vendor Village – Browse a fab selection of local vendors offering unique and handmade goods.
