A once in a lifetime Solar Eclipse event is happening on April 8, 2024 where the moon will pass between the Earth and the sun – casting an extraordinary shadow on the planet!

A community viewing event is planned at Blockhouse Island and we can’t wait for you to join us.

Blockhouse will be closed to vehicle traffic and there will be food, music, special exhibits, vendors and more as we all witness this magnificent celestial event.

Solar eclipse glasses will be available at the event and distributed to the Brockville community in advance. Stay tuned on pick up locations!

Witnessing the solar eclipse in Brockville will be a truly unique experience as we’re in the path of totality where the sun will be completely covered for a period of time!
